Isotrex (Isotretinoin) 0.05% Gel 30g is a greenish-yellow gel which contains the active ingredient Isotretinoin 0.05%. Isotretinoin is similar to vitamin A, it helps the skin which makes blocked pores less likely which helps prevent spots.
Isotrex Gel is used to treat acne in young people who are going through or have gone through puberty and adults. It helps to:
Keep out of reach and sight of children. This product is flammable, keep away from open fires, flames and all sources of ingnition during and immediately after use.
When using Isotrex (Isotretinoin) 0.05% Gel 30g you should follow the instructions given to you by your doctor and read the patient information leaflet before use. For external use only.
Isotrex Gel is to be used once or twice a day, it can take 6 to 8 weeks before you see the benefit of Isotrex.
To apply: Wash your hands, completely remove any make up, wash the area that you will be treating with a mild soap, warm water and gently dry. Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected skin using your fingertips and smooth in. Apply to all of the area of your skin which has acne not just each spot. Wash your hands after application.
The active ingredient in Isotrex (Isotretinoin) 0.05% Gel 30g is Isotretinoin 0.05%. The other ingredients are hydroxypropylcellouse, butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) and ethanol.

Like all medicines, Isotrex Gel can cause side effects although not everybody gets them. If you experience any side effects listed in the patient information leaflet or not listed please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Isotrex Gel should not be used if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, especially other acne treatments.
Isotrex can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight you will need to protect your skin from the sun whilst using Isotrex.
