A new study suggests that approximately a third of antidepressants are being prescribed for "off-label" use. "Off-label" meaning that they are not being used for their intended purpose.
The study shows that some doctors are prescribing antidepressants for issues such as insomnia and migraines, despite the fact that experts argue that there is a lack of scientific evidence to suggest that they can successfully treat other health issues.
Oxford Online Pharmacy's GP, Dr Helen Webberley, responds to the study. Find out what she had to say here.
