Yes you can - Latisse Lash Serum contains the prescription medicine Bimatoprost in the United States and some other areas of the world.
Bimatoprost (pronounced Bim-ah-toe-prost) is marketed in the UK under the brand name Lumigan. This means that Latisse and Lumigan are exactly the same medicine, they are given different brand names in different parts of the world. This is not unusual with medicines.
Lumigan and Latisse are both manufactured by a pharmaceutical company Allergan, who specialise in medicines for eye conditions.
Lumigan is available to order using our online doctor service as liquid in a 0.03% strength. This is the same strength as Latisse.
The medicine in Lumigan, Bimatoprost, is similar to a naturally occurring substance in the body called prostaglandin.
It works by causing more lashes to grow and by making them grow longer and thicker before they naturally fall out.
Yes you do, you can request a private prescription from your own doctor or from our online doctor as a faster, more convenient option.
There is no extra charge for our prescription.
Our doctors are UK based and are experts in the treatments we offer.
Lumigan Eyelash Serum is not available on the NHS.
Please note that Lumigan Lash Serum is an unlicensed treatment in the UK, this is not the case for the same product in the USA, Latisse. To understand more about what this means, read our dedicated article.
The most common side effect is skin itching or irritation on the lash line where you apply the serum, sometimes accompanied by redness. This was reported by around 4% of users on the clinical trial.
If this happens you should stop using the lash serum or reach out to us for further advice.
For the full list of possible side effects see the patient information leaflet.
It is also important that you are not applying too much of the serum, a careful, thin line on the upper lashes only is all that is needed and any excess product should be blotted with tissue.
