Can I buy Vivanza in the UK

Monday, February 27, 2023

Image shows a man around 50 years old on his electronic tablet. He is wearing casual, light coloured clothing, wears glasses and is sitting on a sofa in a living room. He is looking at the tablet like he is reading on it.

Yes you can - Vivanza is the brand name for the medicine Vardenafil in Europe and some other areas of the world.

Vardenafil is marketed in the UK under its generic name - Vardenafil, and also under the brand name Levitra. This means that Vivanza and Vardenafil are exactly the same medicine, they are given different brand names in different parts of the world. This is not unusual with medicines.

Vardenafil is available to order using our online doctor service in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg tablets. It is also available in a 10mg orodispersible tablet, this is a tablet which dissolves in the mouth.

How does Vardenafil work?

The tissue inside the penis is soft and spongy in its resting state, when blood rushes into this tissue it causes it to become bigger and firmer. This is an erection.

Sometimes this blood flow into the penis isn’t as strong as it should be and doesn’t cause a full erection or an erection that lasts long enough for sex. We call this Erectile Dysfunction or ED for short.

This weakened blood flow can happen for different reasons. One of these reasons can be that the blood vessels flowing into the penis have become narrower due to fatty plaque buildup, this is why we always recommend new Vardenafil customers get a heart check with their GP.
ED can be an early warning sign for heart disease.

Take a look at our dedicated post about the causes of ED here.

Vardenafil works by helping to widen (relax) these blood vessels that carry blood to the penis following sexual stimulation. This helps to both achieve and maintain an erection long enough to enjoy sex.

For more information about our range of treatments for erectile dysfunction, see our ED treatment page.

Do I need a prescription for Vardenafil?

Yes you do, you can obtain a prescription from your GP or from our online doctor as a faster and easier option.

Our doctors are UK based and are experts in the treatments we offer.

Vardenafil side effects

The most common side effects with Vardenafil are headaches, stuffy nose and flushing/reddening of the face.

These are usually short-lived and can often be managed by staying well hydrated or taking pain relief in the case of a headache.

If you’ve never tried Vardenafil before, you should start with the 5mg tablets and only increase if they are not effective enough.

I also recommend looking at our ED starter pack - this contains a box of Vardenafil 10mg tablets, a box of Sildenafil 50mg tablets (non-branded Viagra) and a box of Tadalafil 10mg tablets (non-branded Cialis) and if you haven’t tried any of these treatments before.

This is not personalised advice. To speak to one of our clinically trained team about finding the right treatment for you, email us at [email protected] or call us on 01295 262925.
