At Oxford Online Pharmacy we are committed to providing the highest possible standards of care to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of every patient that visits our site.
As part of this process, there is key information we require which enables our doctors to ensure that they have a full picture of your current health situation.
In line with this, you may be asked to provide a recent blood pressure reading (for example 125/83) and the date when this was done. This is by best clinical practice and would be the case with a typical consultation carried out in your GP surgery."
- your local community pharmacy
- many gyms
- the reception area of your GP surgery
You can also buy your blood pressure monitor for home use a selection can be found here.
If we require this reading, it will be securely stored with your personal information and will only need to be rechecked every 6 – 12 months, depending on the medication you are ordering.
Knowing your numbers is an essential part of monitoring your overall health as it enables you to take the necessary action to reach and maintain healthy blood pressure through changes in diet and the introduction of gentle exercise into your daily routine.
