Travelling doesn't have to be difficult! Here we take a look at some travel gadgets and apps that can help you whilst you're on the go. Make your summer vacation healthy, effortless and as care free as possible!
Getting your period whilst on holiday can be a little bit disheartening, especially if your plan was to laze by the pool worry free. If you don't want to try a period delay tablet as your first resort, then how about using a period tracker app to follow your period and plan around it? There are plenty on the market, and they work by predicting your periods in advance (sometimes up to 3 months), monitor fertile windows, and give you a simple overview of your whole menstrual cycle.
Travelling can really take it out of your body. Not only does jet lag slow you down, but the uncomfortable seating situations can leave you with achey limbs and joints for days afterwards. In order to reduce any potential pain, how about taking a look at a posture activity tracker? They work by integrating your mobile phone with a patch you wear on your skin or clothes. The patch looks at your posture throughout the day and alerts you when you should be sitting a little straighter, reducing the amount of time that you are slouching throughout the day.
Pedometers and fitness trackers are all the rage now! Whilst you might be on holiday to relax, it is still important to get your daily (easy) exercise in. A pedometer can keep track of your step count, encourage you to get some walking in, and generally make you more aware of your fitness and diet while you're away. Getting your daily step count in should mean that you won't have any nasty surprises when you hit the scales again once you're back home.
Sunny holidays are great and can really provide a much needed mood lift, but it is really important to not get too much exposure to the sun and it's UV rays. UV sun wristbands are available and work by using a photosensitive patch which changes colour based on how intense the UV radiation is. This allows you to reduce the chance of burning, and where the appropriate sun protection throughout the day. Most wristbands you can purchase are waterproof so wearing one won't interfere with your or your child's pool time!
