Caverject (Alprostadil) 40mcg vial is a genuine UK sourced treatment used to treat erectile dysfunction, including weak erections or impotence. It is administered via injection into the base of the penis.
Caverject contains alprostadil, which is similar to the natural substance in your body called prostaglandin E1. This works to relax the muscles in your penis and widens blood vessels; allowing blood to flow in your penis more easily, which helps towards an erection.
Caverject 40 micrograms vials should only be used within 3 months from when they were given to you. Your doctor or pharmacist will make a note of this date on the packs. You should not use the vials after this date has passed. Please note that this date may be earlier than the “expiry” date printed on the packs.
Store your medication in a dry place below 25°C. Always remember to keep syringes and needles away from children.
Each individual will require a different Caverject dosage. You should always read through the Patient Information Leaflet for detailed instructions on using Caverject.
After use, ensure that the syringe, vial and needles are disposed of in a closed, puncture-resistant container. If you are unsure about how to properly dispose of the container after use, ask your doctor.
