If you are having problems getting pregnant because you are not releasing eggs regularly, then Clomid may help. Clomid (Clomifene Citrate) 50mg 10 Tablets belongs to the class of medications known as ovulatory agents. It is used as a fertility medication by women who are having trouble becoming pregnant because ovulation is not occurring in a normal manner. It works by causing ovulation to occur.
You take 50mg (1 tablet) daily for 5 days, starting on the 2nd day of menstruation (Bleeding).
We recommend that you have ovulation blood tests done on day 21 of your cycle. This will tell us whether the Clomid made you ovulate or not so the doctor can decide whether to continue on the same dose or increase the dose. You can purchase an at home 21 day progesterone blood test from us for £25.00. Using the kit provided you take a small finger prick sample of blood on day 21 of your cycle and send it to the laboratory in the envelope provided. The results are then emailed to you.
