Maxalt Melt tablets are a member of a group of drugs known as selective serotonin 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonists.
Adult migraine sufferers can use Maxalt Melt to treat the headache stage of their migraine attack.
This medication helps to relieve headaches, pain, and other migraine symptoms (including nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light/sound).
Maxalt Melt therapy reduces the blood vessel in the brain from swelling and stops pain signals from being sent to the brain. The headache discomfort associated with a migraine attack is likely to be caused by this swelling.
This prompt treatment helps you return to your normal routine and may decrease your need for other pain medications. It will start to work for a migraine headache within 30 minutes for some patients.
