Easy to use test kits - post your sample off to our partner laboratory and we email the results to you
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are passed through genital contact from one person to another. Sexually transmitted diseases are extremely common, however many people may be unaware that they are infected. Therefore, if you are concerned that you may have contracted an STD or STI we advise that you consider taking an at home STD test, even if you are not experiencing any symptoms.

Sexually transmitted infections and diseases are passed on from one person to another through unprotected sex, such as sex without a condom. If you have been with a partner and are worried that you may have contracted an STI, we provide a discreet at home STD test to give you peace of mind.
At Oxford Online Pharmacy, we deliver a urine sample kit straight to your home for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, and a full sexually transmitted disease test for the seven STIs:
Your test is then sent to the UKs largest independent pathology clinic, followed by an email to advise you of the results. You can also be tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea in the throat and rectum, using throat and rectal swabs.
The at home STD test service also comprises of home blood tests for HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B&C. There are also separate MSM (men who have sex with men) tests covering HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B&C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma genitalium, Ureaplasma, Trichomonas vaginalis, Gardnerella vaginalis and Herpes Simplex I/II.
All STIs and STDs should be treated as soon as possible, as long term health problems may occur.
Chlamydia is the most frequent STI. Most men and women do not have any symptoms, but in men you may have pain when you pass urine or a discharge. In women symptoms may be bleeding between periods or after sexual intercourse. Chlamydia is easily treated with STI treatment.
Gonorrhoea is also easily treated. Gonorrhoea causes pain when urinating and an unusual discharge from the vagina or penis. The usual treatment is a single injection followed by an antibiotic by mouth.
Genital warts can be treated with creams or freezing the warts. They are passed on by skin to skin contact. Genital herpes causes painful blisters around the genitals and surrounding areas. It may remain dormant and can be controlled but not cured with antiviral medicines.
However, if you test positive for HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B&C, you should contact a sexual health clinic, who will carry out a retest and provide a specific STD treatment.
If you test positive, then you can take a free online consultation with our GMC registered doctor. If you are approved our expert doctor will prescribe a private prescription for a specific STI or STD treatment. However, if a prescription is not appropriate and you are unsuccessful your payment will be refunded. In addition, if you already have a private or NHS prescription you can order your medication online and send your prescription to us. We will then dispense the prescribed medication, straight to your own home.
Please provide as much information as you can, to enable us to give you the best possible advice.
