To help us supply you with the right medication,
please answer a few short questions.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) affects most men at some point in their lives and once this happens, they often look for treatment for this condition to maintain an erection long enough for sexual intercourse. Most ED treatments work by increasing blood flow to the penis with the help of sexual stimulation.
While at one time Viagra tablets were one of the only ED treatments available to sexual health sufferers, nowadays there are lots of different treatment options for men.
Even though the options are now vast, how do you know what is the best ED treatment for you? When it comes to such an important issue, it’s vital you are well-informed and can make the best decision for you and your health.
To help you make a decision when it comes to treating erectile dysfunction, we have made it easier for you by putting all the information in one place. Below, we will take a look at the most popular erectile dysfunction medications and the differences between them.
Firstly, there are different forms of treatment for erectile dysfunction such as tablets, injections and topical treatments. So how do you decide which is the best form for you? Well, tablets are often a first-line treatment and preferred by the majority of men, although, the downside to taking tablets is any interactions with current medicines and potential side effects, we will go into this more below.
Injections work well as they start working quickly as they’re injected right to the source by injecting the medicine into the penis. Many men cringe at the thought of having to do this, while this is the only/best option for some.
Topical treatments tend to be less intrusive and internal common side effects are less likely, although, side effects to the skin after application can be experienced.
Topical and injectable treatments often come with a higher price tag compared to tablets.

It’s important to note that:
You should always inform your doctor of your medical history including any health conditions and medicines you’re taking before using any erectile dysfunction treatments.
The side effects are listed as possible side effects and not everyone will get them. Always contact your doctor If you are concerned about any of the side effects that you are experiencing. If they are serious, you should seek medical attention right away.
Always read the patient information leaflet before starting any new medicine.
The strength of a medicine differs depending on the drug, for example, 200mg of Spedra doesn’t necessarily mean it is stronger than 100mg of Viagra.
Each drug isn’t ‘one size fits all’, this will all depend on the person and therefore, you may need to try a few different medicines before finding the best treatment for you. See our ED treatment pack for more information.
You can find more detailed information regarding ED and the treatments we sell on our dedicated erectile dysfunction blog page here.
The most typical sign of erectile dysfunction is having trouble achieving or keeping an erection during sexual activity.
In addition to ED, other sexual problems include:
Erectile dysfunction is the inability to get or maintain an erection during sexual intercourse. The causes of erectile dysfunction may be physical, psychological or both. Physical causes may be due to a narrowing of the blood vessels going to the penis. This can be triggered by weight problems, lack of exercise, smoking, excessive alcohol intake, high blood pressure, diabetes, low testosterone (get a test here) or high cholesterol. In turn, psychological causes may include relationship problems, stress, or depression.
Erectile dysfunction can be treated by the use of medication, the most popular products being tablets, such as Viagra (Sildenafil), Tadalafil and Vardenafil.
There are also non-tablet ED treatments available that include Invicorp, Caverject and Viridal which can be injected into the base of the penis. Caverject and Viridal contain the drug Alprostadil, as do Muse pellets. Another alternative is Vitaros cream, which also contains the active ingredient Alprostadil. Vitaros is applied to the hole in the penis and is an alternative ED treatment if you have problems taking tablets.
Things you can do to help with erectile dysfunction:
