The active ingredient in Orlos (Orlistat) is designed to target fat in your digestive system. It stops about a quarter of the fat in your meals from being absorbed.
This medicine aids in weight loss when combined with a reduced-calorie diet, exercise regimen, and behavioural changes recommended by your doctor. Some overweight people, such as those who are obese or have health issues related to their weight, use it. Also, taking orlistat can prevent you from gaining back the weight you've already lost.
The numerous health concerns associated with obesity, such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and a shortened lifespan, can be reduced by losing weight and keeping it off. Before being absorbed by the body, dietary fats must first be broken down into smaller bits. Orlistat functions by preventing the enzyme that breaks down the fats. Then, the undigested fat is eliminated from your body by bowel movements. You still need to limit your overall calorie intake because orlistat does not stop the absorption of calories from sugar and other non-fat foods.

How to use Orlos Weight Loss Tablets (60mg)
The recommended dose of Orlos is one 60 mg capsule to be taken three times daily. The capsule should be taken with water immediately before, during or up to 1 hour after each main meal.
If a meal is missed or contains no fat, the dose of Orlos should be omitted
No more than three 60 mg capsules should be taken in 24 hours.
Eat lower-fat meals to reduce the chance of diet-related treatment effects.
Do not exceed 15g of fat per meal while taking Orlos, as eating more than this can increase the risk of stomach upset, oily stools, and diarrhoea.
Treatment should not exceed 6 months.
Side effects of Orlos Weight Loss Tablets (60mg)
With any medication you take, there is always a risk of side effects. Some are more common than others, and often side effects may subside with regular usage of the medicine. If the side effects do not subside, you should report them to us, or your GP.
Very common side effects
- headaches
- upper respiratory tract infection
- abdominal pain/discomfort
- urgent or increased need to open the bowels
- flatulence (wind)
- flatulence (wind) with discharge
- oily discharge
- oily or fatty stools
- liquid stools
- increased elimination of stools
- influenza (‘flu’)
- low blood sugar levels (experienced by some people with type 2 diabetes)

- rectal pain/discomfort
- soft stools
- faecal incontinence (inability to control your bowel movements)
- bloating (experienced by some people with type 2 diabetes)
- tooth/gum disorder
- urinary tract infection
- irregular menstrual cycle
- tiredness
- anxiety

Orlos 60mg Capsules should be kept out of reach and sight of children and should not be stored above 25 degrees Celsius.
