Product Information for Cialis Together 10mg 4 tablets
Cialis Together - erectile dysfunction treatment Â
Like most medicines, there are different versions of the same active ingredient. In this instance, Cialis Together contains the active ingredient Tadalafil, which is also available as prescription-only generic Tadalafil and branded Cialis.Â
Cialis Together is the over-the-counter version of the prescription-strength medicine Cialis. Cialis Together has been launched as a non-prescription alternative.
Cialis Together is taken for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. Erectile Dysfunction occurs when a man is unable to achieve or maintain an erection that is firm enough for satisfactory sexual activity.

Why do men get erectile dysfunction? Â
Most men experience erectile dysfunction (ED) at some point in their lives. Approximately 40% of men are affected at age 40 and nearly 70% at age 70.
Erectile Dysfunction can be caused by physical problems such as heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes and smoking. Â
Depression, stress, anxiety, relationship troubles, and other mental health issues can also cause erectile dysfunction.
Most cases of ED can be treated, and some can be reversed depending on the contributing factor. For example, if you are obese, losing weight may help get your high blood pressure under control.
We strongly recommend getting your health checked with your GP if you start experiencing erectile dysfunction, especially if you are unsure what the cause is.
See our main Erectile Dysfunction page for more information about the condition.
How does Cialis Together actually work? Â
The active ingredient in Cialis Together tablets is Tadalafil, which belongs to a group of medications known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors.
It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis. This causes increased blood flow, enabling an erection.
It is important to note that taking Cialis Together tablets alone will not result in an erection, you must also be sexually aroused.
Alternative treatments Â
There is a wide range of ED medicines available in different forms, including oral tablets, creams and injections. Â

What is the difference between Cialis Together and Tadalafil? Â
Cialis Together and generic Tadalafil contain the same active ingredient, Tadalafil. Cialis Together is Tadalafil as a 10mg tablet, whereas generic Tadalafil comes in 4 different strengths: 10mg, 20mg, 2.5mg and 5mg.Â
Unlike Cialis Together, generic Tadalafil is available in a daily maintenance dose (2.5mg and 5mg) as well as an "on-demand" dose (10mg and 20mg).
For more information on the different strengths of generic Tadalafil, read our Tadalafil or Daily Tadalafil article.
Cialis Together has been licensed as a pharmacy-only, over-the-counter medicine, meaning you can get this medication without a prescription.
Generic Tadalafil is a prescription-only medicine and requires the completion of an online consultation, which takes a few minutes.
Generic Tadalafil will almost always be the most cost-effective option, with the price of Cialis Together starting from £22.00 for four tablets, compared to generic Tadalafil, which starts from only £8.95 for four tablets.*Â
*Prices are as of 24.11.23 and are subject to change.Â

-
Cialis has a far longer duration of action than other erectile dysfunction drugs and has been shown to work for up to 36 hours after taking it.
You should be able to get an erection anytime within the 36 hours, this means that your sex life can be more spontaneous than with other erectile dysfunction medications.
This, however, doesn’t mean that you will get a 36-hour-long erection, like all PDE5 inhibitors, Cialis Together requires sexual stimulation to work.
-
As with any medicine, Cialis Together may interact with other medicines, this is why it’s important to always read the patient information leaflet before starting a new treatment as well as informing your doctor of any medicines you are on.
Do not use Cialis Together tablets if you are currently taking any of the following medications:
- Nitrate drugs like glyceryl trinitrate, isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, or nitric oxide donors such as amyl nitrite ("poppers"), nicorandil, molsidomine, or sodium nitroprusside. These drugs are commonly prescribed for chest pain (angina pectoris) or heart failure. Combining Cialis Together tablets with any of these medications can result in a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
- Riociguat or other drugs categorized as guanylate cyclase stimulators, used to manage pulmonary arterial hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs caused by blood clots).
Inform your pharmacist or healthcare provider if you are already using any of the following medications, as they may interact with Cialis Together tablets or influence their effectiveness:
- Alpha blockers like alfuzosin, doxazosin, or tamsulosin, which are prescribed for urinary issues linked to an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) or occasionally high blood pressure.
- Other medications for hypertension.
- Finasteride (a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor used for benign prostatic hyperplasia).
- Itraconazole or ketoconazole (medications for fungal infections).
- Rifampicin, erythromycin, or clarithromycin (antibiotics).
- Ritonavir or saquinavir (protease inhibitors employed in the treatment of AIDS or HIV infection).
- Phenobarbital, phenytoin, and carbamazepine (anticonvulsant drugs).
- Other therapies for erectile dysfunction.
- Theophylline (used for asthma treatment).
- Cimetidine (administered for heartburn and stomach ulcers).
-
Excessive alcohol consumption can momentarily impair your capacity to obtain an erection. To get the most out of your medication, avoid drinking significant amounts of alcohol before engaging in sexual activity.Â
For more information on alcohol and Cialis Together consult your pharmacist or doctor. You can also check out our blog article.
-
Eating grapefruit or drinking the juice may impair the effectiveness of Cialis Together pills and should be avoided.
Unless already discussed with your doctor first, do not take any other medicines while using Cialis Together.
Important - Before taking any medication, it is always important to read the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL)
