You may remove insulin syringes and pen needles with the help of the BD Safe-Clip needle clipping and storage device while keeping the needles contained within the clipper.
What is a needle clipper?
An insulin syringe or pen needle becomes unusable when it is stored in a needle clipper, an FDA-approved sharps container. It is safe to store up to 1,500 snipped needles in this device. The syringe can be disposed of in the ordinary bin after the needle has been carefully removed using a clipper.
