Sepsis kills approximately 44,000 people each year in the UK, but do you think you could spot the warning signs in time?
Too often sepsis is confused with other illnesses, such as the flu or a chest infection, which leads many to suffer in silence, seeking no help. Without treatment, sepsis can be deadly, so it is important for a person to be able to identify the condition, and ask for help in a timely fashion should they require it.
Our GP, Dr Helen Webberly, recently spoke to Huffington Post UK about the potentially fatal condition and how to identify it. Find out what she had to say here.
