Men - 10 Ways to Improve Your Love Life

Wondering how to improve your love life? It is easier than you think- read our 10 tips:

  1. Cut down or cut out alcohol the day or night before sex. Alcohol reduces the levels of testosterone and blood flow to the penis.
  2. Exercise regularly. Walk 1/2 hour each day to boost testosterone levels and blood supply.
  3. Lose weight. Excessive weight increases the risk of diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and heart disease. These are all linked to erectile dysfunction/impotence.
  4. Stop Smoking. Smoking narrows the blood vessels in the penis, making it difficult to sustain an erection.
  5. Heart Pills & Medication. If you are on medication and suffer from impotence, ask your doctor for alternative pills particularly if you take antidepressants, beta-blockers or diuretics/water pills.

Solutions to a healthy and satisfying love life:

  6. The little blue or yellow pill. Prescription pills for erectile dysfunction are very effective. Typically, you need to allow 60 minutes for the blue pill to work. The yellow pill usually takes 30 minutes, and its effects can last 36 hours. This does not mean that you have an erection for 36 hours, as sexual stimulation is still required to get an erection.
  7. Injections. These may be suitable for men with diabetes, or if pills are not effective.
  8. Pellets. These contain the same ingredient as the injections. A pellet is inserted into the hole in the penis.
  9. Cream. A new cream for erectile dysfunction has just been introduced. The active ingredient is the same as for the injections and pellets. The cream is kept in the fridge and applied to the hole in the penis.
  10. Premature ejaculation pills. Pills are now available on prescription for those who reach orgasm too quickly - typically less than 2 minutes.

All of the medication above is available at Oxford Online Pharmacy. You can take a no-obligation consultation with our GMC registered doctor.
