National Impotence Day this Valentines Day

Monday, January 30, 2023

Couple

Forget the notion that the size of his shoes indicates the size of his... Penis. Did you know that a man's penis can reveal a lot about the condition of his heart?

The penis needs healthy blood arteries to get erect, just like the heart does for oxygen to reach it. Therefore, the same factors that cause heart diseases such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and blood pressure, also cause erectile dysfunction.

It is not surprising that National Impotence Day coincides with Valentine's Day because there is unquestionably a link between the heart and the penis! Therefore, if you spot a problem. today, get checked. More than just your relationship might be saved!

Many of us will celebrate Valentine's Day on February 14th. However, this day also commemorates National Impotence Day, a yearly health celebration to increase public and health professionals' awareness of erectile dysfunction (ED).

The prevalent word for erectile dysfunction is "impotence." The disorder known as erectile dysfunction occurs when the penis either fails to be erect or doesn't stay hard long enough for sexual activity. Most of the time, physical factors are found to be the source of this disorder.

Erectile dysfunction can be brought on by conditions affecting the heart, kidneys, prostate, testicles, and prostate gland, as well as drug reactions. Around 10% of cases are caused by psychological factors which contribute to erectile dysfunction and will need treatment.

When physical factors contribute to erectile dysfunction, therapy methods start by treating the underlying medical issues. This means having to adjust your lifestyle and using medication to manage diabetes, cardiovascular illnesses, or other disorders that have already developed.

Erectile Dysfunction treatments

Any choice of treatment will be made after consultation with the doctor to ensure the prescribed medication that is safe for you.

At Oxford Online Pharmacy we offer several erectile dysfunction treatments, such as:

  • Oral phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors:
    Sildenafil tablets
    Tadalafil tablets
    Vardenafil tablets
  • Prostaglandins: Caverject Injections (Alprostadil)
  • Non-prescription medicines: vacuum erection devices

So, how can you observe National Impotence Day?

1. Get knowledgeable

Information exchange is crucial because erectile dysfunction is a condition with numerous contributing causes. Erectile dysfunction is becoming easier to detect and treat as more people and medical professionals become aware of the issue.

Check out our ED articles here for more information.

2. Talk about it

Due to embarrassment, many men and women avoid discussing or seeking treatment for erectile dysfunction. The topic of impotence needs to become more common to stop the stigma around it.

3. Get active and healthy

Smoking and poor cardiovascular health are dangerous lifestyle choices that might lead to erectile dysfunction. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a fantastic approach to avoiding erectile dysfunction.
