Can I Take Tadalafil Daily Tablets for My ED?

What is tadalafil daily and is it known under another name?

Tadalafil Daily, also known by the brand name Cialis is a medicine used to treat erection problems (erectile dysfunction) and symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostate enlargement).

It's also sometimes used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) (high blood pressure in the blood vessels that supply the lungs).

Tadalafil tablets are available in 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg tablets you can get this medication on prescription at OxfordOnlinePharmacy to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. This occurs when a man is unable to develop or maintain an effective, hard erect penis for intercourse. It has been shown that tadalafil considerably increases the likelihood of developing an erect penis appropriate for sexual engagement.

Tadalafil the cheaper generic version of Cialis

The medicine tadalafil is generic. The active components in generic medications are the same as those in brand-name medications.

The same safety and effectiveness requirements that apply to brand-name medications also apply to generic versions. Generic medications typically cost less than name-brand medicines.

Tadalafil daily vs Cialis daily cost

You can find below a comparison of the prices of Cialis and generic tadalafil, as you can see from the table the generic version is significantly cheaper than the branded version. For example; tadalafil 5mg daily 28 tablets is £22.84 and 5mg Cialis daily 28 tablets is £67.99.*

  28 Tablets 56 Tablets 84 Tablets 112 Tablets 168 Tablets
Tadalafil 2.5mg Daily £19.48 £33.99 £39.99   £69.99
Cialis 2.5mg Daily £69.99     £269.99
Tadalafil 5mg Daily £22.84 £38.99 £64.98   £104.99
Cialis 5mg Daily £67.99 £139.99 £203.28 £271.49 £406.99

How does tadalafil daily work?

Tadalafil has a substantially longer period of efficacy than other PDE5 inhibitors, setting it apart from others such as Sildenafil and Vardenafil. According to the National Library of Medicine, tadalafil can be effective for up to 36 hours after just one dose, in contrast to Viagra, which can be effective for a few hours after the drug is consumed. (1)

Tadalafil daily provides a low daily dose of the active ingredient tadalafil. Tadalafil daily dose helps with erection issues by increasing blood flow to the penis when you're excited sexually.

A 2004 trial found no serious side effects with the long-term use of tadalafil. Although the trial was only observed for 2 years and considering treatment with this medication is likely to be long-term, these findings support the long-term use of tadalafil in the clinical management of erectile dysfunction. (2)

How long does tadalafil daily take to work?

It takes 3-5 days for tadalafil daily to start working. It takes a few days for enough of the medication to accumulate in your bloodstream for you to experience its ongoing benefits. Consequently, once the regular tadalafil levels in the body build up, this will aid in triggering sufficient spontaneous erections for sex. Please note; the medication won't make erectile dysfunction go away or make you want to have more sex.

What are the typical tadalafil daily doses?

Tadalafil comes as when required tablets or daily tablets, your doctor will ask you various questions to determine which one is the most suitable for you. Tadalafil comes in 4 different strengths, 10mg, 20mg, 2.5mg and 5mg.

When required - 10mg and 20mg Tablets

The usual dose of tadalafil for erectile dysfunction is 10mg when you need it. Do not take more than 1 tablet a day.

Your doctor may increase or decrease your dose, depending on how well it works and how often you take it. For the tablet to work properly, you'll need to be sexually aroused.

Daily - 2.5mg and 5mg Tablets

Depending on your preference and the opinion of your doctor, taking tadalafil once daily at the lowest doses may be appropriate for you if you anticipate using it frequently (i.e., at least twice weekly). One 5mg pill taken once daily at roughly the same time of day is the suggested dosage. Depending on how you react to the medication, your doctor may change the dose to 2.5mg. The dosage for this will be one 2.5mg pill.

Daily 5mg tadalafil treatment is considered to have beneficial effects on erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation patients. As a result, it is advised to use 5mg of tadalafil once daily, especially for those who have PE and ED. (3)

Who cannot take tadalafil daily?

Your doctor should discuss your general heart health and whether Tadalafil is the right medication for you because sexual activity can make your heart work harder.

Patients may experience side effects including fainting or light-headedness if they have a condition known as "left ventricular outlet obstruction" brought on by valvular issues or enlarged heart muscle.

Tadalafil is not advised for use in patients who have recently experienced heart attacks, strokes, angina, heart failure, uncontrolled blood pressure or uncontrolled irregular heartbeats, severe liver illness, or retinal eye problems that were not yet evaluated with tadalafil.

Rare cases of priapism (painful, prolonged erections) could occur. This is a dangerous condition that must be treated right away by a doctor. If a patient’s erection persists for more than 4 hours, they should consult a doctor right once. (4)

How much tadalafil can you take daily?

Tadalafil is a prescription medication, so you should only take the recommended dosage. It is possible to take 10mg or 20mg once or twice before engaging in sexual activity, or 2.5mg or 5mg every day. Speak with your doctor about adjusting the dose or attempting an alternative ED medication if you discover that the recommended dose is ineffective or causes unpleasant side effects.

Tadalafil can be harmful or even hazardous if taken in excess, just like any drug. Because the medication is intended to have a major impact on your circulation, taking too much of it can have serious side effects that are harmful to both your sexual health and the flow of blood throughout your body. (5)

Don't increase your dose on your own if the one your doctor prescribed doesn't seem to be working. The likelihood of severe adverse reactions or side effects may arise as a result. In this instance, get in touch with a member of our healthcare team to go over the potential causes and other treatment options, such as more PDE5 inhibitors, medicines, and other beneficial lifestyle changes.
