Betamethasone RD cream is a milder variant of a topical corticosteroid designed to alleviate skin inflammation. The “RD” stands for Ready Diluted, signifying that it contains a lower dosage of the active ingredient, betamethasone valerate, relative to standard formulations.
It functions by soothing irritation, minimizing redness, and relieving itchiness associated with skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.
Betamethasone RD cream is commonly used:
- For addressing less severe skin issues
- As a maintenance solution after more potent steroid treatments have successfully alleviated symptoms
Due to its milder strength, it is suitable for extended use or application on more sensitive skin areas, as recommended by a medical professional.
