Betamethasone Valerate B.P. 0.122% w/w Ointment is a corticosteroid medication that contains the active component betamethasone valerate (a form of cortisone).
Betnovate is available in cream and ointment form.
It is a corticosteroid that is applied to the body's surface (the skin).
It is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort caused by many skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, discoid eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, irritant or allergic contact dermatitis.
Betnovate Ointment may also be used for insect bite reactions.

How to use Betnovate (Betamethasone Valerate) 0.1% Ointment 100g
Apply Betnovate once or twice a day, this may be reduced as your skin begins to get better. Always follow the instructions from your doctor.
Side effects of Betnovate (Betamethasone Valerate) 0.1% Ointment 100g
This ointment is for use on your skin only.
Do not use more than the amount prescribed for you.
Do not use on large areas of the body for a long time (such as every day for many weeks or months) - unless your doctor tells you to.
The germs that cause infections like warm, moist conditions under bandages or dressings so always clean the skin before a fresh dressing is put on.
If you are applying the ointment on someone else make sure you wash your hands after use or wear disposable plastic gloves.
