Elocon 0.1% Ointment contains the active ingredient Mometasone Furoate 0.1%.
This soothing ointment helps prevent flare-ups and reduce red, itchy, dry skin.
Topical corticosteroids are a class of medications that includes Elocon Ointment. The term "potent corticosteroid" is used to describe it.
To lessen the redness and itching brought on by specific skin conditions, these medications are applied topically to the skin.
Elocon Ointment is used to treat psoriasis and other dermatitis-related skin conditions in both adults and children to lessen the redness and itching they cause. Pink, scaly, itchy patches can appear on the scalp, knees, elbows, and other regions of the body as a result of the skin condition psoriasis. Dermatitis is a disorder that develops when the skin reacts to external factors, such as detergents, making the skin red and itchy.
Elocon Ointment 0.1% (Mometasone) should be kept out of reach and sight of children. It should not be stored above 25 degrees celcius.

How to use Elocon Ointment (Mometasone) 0.1% 30g
When using Elocon Ointment 0.1% (Mometasone) be sure to follow the doctors instructions and read the patient information leaflet before using.
Wash your hands before each use.
A thin layer should be gently rubbed into the affected area of skin once a day.
Do not use the ointment on your face for more than 5 days.
Do not apply the ointment to children, on any part of their body, for more than 5 days. Do not use in or around your eyes, including eye-lids.
Side effects of Elocon Ointment (Mometasone) 0.1% 30g

Do not use Elocon Ointment 0.1% (Mometasone) if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or for any skin condition other then the one(s) it has been prescribed for.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Stop using immediately and contact your doctor if you notice signs of an allergic reaction.
As with all medicines Elocon Ointment 0.1% (Mometasone) can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. All known side effects will be listed in the patient information leaflet provided with the product. If you experience any of the side effects in the patient information leaflet or ones which are not listed in the patient information leaflet contact your doctor or pharmacist.
