Elleste Duet (Estradiol/Norethisterone) Tablets are a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Containing two types of female hormones, an oestrogen (Estradiol Hemihydrate) and a progestogen (Norethisterone). It is used for the relief of symptoms occurring after menopause and the prevention of osteoporosis. Ellest Duet is used for the relief of symptoms caused by menopause when the amount of oestrogen produced naturally by the woman's body drops.

Your doctor will aim to prescribe the lowest possible dose to treat your symptoms for as short a time as necessary. Speak to your doctor if you think the dose is too strong or not strong enough.
- The Elleste Duet 1 mg pack contains 16 white tablets and 12 pale green tablets (You must start with the white tablets).
- The Elleste Duet 2 mg pack contains 16 orange tablets and 12 grey tablets (You must start with the orange tablets).
If you still have regular periods, start on the first day of bleeding.

Always take the medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Please read the patient information leaflet before starting the medicine.
Swallow whole ONE tablet with water once a day. The first day should be above the white tablet which has the start arrow next to it.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you experience any of the side effects listed in the patient information leaflet or not listed in the leaflet please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
You should visit your GP at least once a year for regular check up's whilst taking this medication.
You should not take Elleste Duet if any of the following apply to you:
- You have a blood clotting disorder
- You have or have recently had a disease caused by blood clots in the arteries (Heart attack, Stroke or Angina)
- You have or have ever had liver disease
- You have a rare blood problem called 'Porphyria'
- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Elleste Duet
Not to be taken if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
