Femseven Conti (Estradiol/Levonorgestrel) Patch is a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It contains two female hormones an Oestrogen-Estradiol and a Progestogen-Levonorgestrel. It is used to relieve the symptoms occurring after menopause.
The amount of oestrogen generated by a woman's body decreases throughout menopause. This may result in signs like a heated face, neck, and chest ("hot flushes"). After menopause, these symptoms are reduced with FemSeven Conti.
Oestrogen and progesterone found in FemSeven Conti Patches are absorbed by the body to raise blood levels of these sex hormones, which can alleviate the symptoms listed below.
- Hot flushes
- Difficulty sleeping
- Low mood or anxiety
- Vaginal dryness
- Low sex drive
- Trouble concentrating
HRT must include a progestogen (levonorgestrel) for women who have not undergone a hysterectomy. This is due to the fact that in females with an intact womb, oestrogen stimulates the growth of the endometrium, which, if unchecked, can result in endometrial cancer. Progestogens are administered to counteract oestrogen's impact on the uterine lining and lessen the chance of cancer, albeit they do not completely eradicate it. Therefore, Femseven Conti can be used by women who have or don’t have their womb.

Women use FemSeven Conti Patches as a prescription-only hormone replacement therapy (HRT), to alleviate uncomfortable menopause symptoms and prevent osteoporosis. FemSeven Conti Patches contain both oestrogen and progesterone.
-
Estradiol hemihydrate and levonorgestrel are combined to form Femseven Conti, which comprises a continuous combination of oestrogen and progestagen for continuous use. Synthetic estradiol, the substance's active component, is physiologically and chemically equivalent to endogenous human estradiol.
-
FemSeven Conti Patches deliver a continuous dosage of progesterone and oestrogen and the patch is replaced weekly. Another HRT product with the same active components is Evorel Conti patches, which must be changed twice weekly.
Important - Before taking any medication, it is always important to read the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL)

All hormone replacement therapy should be initiated after a discussion with a health care professional face to face as they will also need to take your blood pressure and weight. Blood tests may also be requested. This is followed after three months with a follow-up appointment. Online prescribing can only be done once this has happened.
