Trisequens (Estradiol/Norethisterone) Tablets are a sequential Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) which is taken every day without interruption. It is used in postmenopausal women with at least 6 months since their last natural period to relieve the symptoms occurring after menopause.
The menopausal symptoms of oestrogen insufficiency are alleviated by HRT, in this case, Trisequens. It is a short-term symptomatic medication taken when these symptoms are brought on by ovaries-related medical or surgical operations.
Menopause often happens between the ages of 45 and 55. A woman gradually stops producing the feminine hormones progesterone and oestrogen throughout this normal life transition. Eventually, menstrual cycles stop altogether after becoming less frequent. You can encounter uncomfortable symptoms like hot flushes or night sweats as a result of your hormone levels dropping.
Two hormones, an oestrogen (estradiol) and a progestagen (norethisterone acetate) are present in Trisequens. Estradiol, which is categorised as a natural oestrogen and is present in Trisequens, is identical to the estradiol produced in female ovaries. A significant female sex hormone that functions similarly to progesterone is norethisterone acetate, a synthetic progestagen.
The oestrogen from Trisequens alleviates the symptoms of an oestrogen deficiency. The progestagen guards against excessive oestrogen stimulation of the lining of your womb.
Trisequens may have been given by your doctor for a different condition. If you are concerned about why Trisequens has been recommended for you, speak with a doctor.

All hormone replacement therapy should be initiated after a discussion with a health care professional face to face as they will also need to take your blood pressure and weight. Blood tests may also be requested. This is followed after three months with a follow-up appointment. Online prescribing can only be done once this has happened.
