Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122% is a sticky liquid which contains the active ingredient Betamethasone Valerate. It is a Steriod medication which is used to treat Psoriasis of the scalp. It does this by reducing swelling and irritation therefore helps alliveate the symptoms of the Psoriasis ie redness and itching.
Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122% should be kept out of reach and sight of children. It should not be stored above 25 degrees celcius.

When using Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122%, you should follow the instructions given to you by your doctor. And read the patient information leaflet before use. For external use only. Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122% is usually used on your scalp in the morning and at night unless stated otherwise by your doctor. To apply: Wash your hands, unscrew the bottle cap and place the nozzle on the scalp, gently squeeze the bottle to cover the area with a thin and even layer of liquid.You can rub this liquid in, but you don’t have to, your scalp will feel cool until the liquid has dried. Wash your hands again. It is important not to exceed the prescribed amount. Avoid contact with the eyes, if this occurs wash immediately with cool water.
If you apply too much or if accidently swallowed, contact your Doctor or visit your local A&E department as soon as possible.
This product is flammable .Do not dry your hair with a hairdryer. Keep the liquid away from open fires and flames and all sources of ignition including smoking during application and immediately after use.
The active ingredient in Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122% is Betamethasone Valerate. The other ingredients are carbomer, isopropyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122% should not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, have a skin infection on the scalp or on a child under 1 years old.
If you are pregnant, breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or planning on having a baby, please advise your doctor.
Stop using the Betnovate immediately and contact your doctor if you notice signs of an allergic reaction,if your condition worsens, you develop a generalised rash, skin becomes swollen or skin has bumps with pus under.
As with all medicines, Betnovate Scalp Application 0.122% can cause side effects, although not everybody experiences them. Common side effects (1in10 may be affected) are; a feeling of burning,pain, irritation or itching where liquid applied.
If any of these side effects get serious, or you experience side effects not listed in the patient information leaflet, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
