Betnovate cream 0.1% is used as an effective treatment for eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.

Betnovate cream is a topical corticosteroid containing the active ingredient betamethasone, a strong steroid that works by reducing redness, itching, inflammation and eases the unpleasant feeling of itchy skin caused by certain skin problems.

Betnovate cream is for topical application and the dosage varies between adults and children so always check the leaflet for the correct amount to apply.

When other prescription medications or over-the-counter topicals, such as hydrocortisone cream, do not treat symptoms sufficiently, betamethasone is usually used. Some betamethasone derivatives are up to 600 times more powerful than hydrocortisone. Both medicines come in a variety of formulations, including ointments.

This is a prescription-only product and is available in a 30g and 100g tube sizes.
