The swelling, itching, and redness that might develop with these conditions can be reduced with betamethasone. This drug is a corticosteroid of medium potency.

How to use Betnovate Ointment 0.1% 100g (Betamethasone)
When using Betnovate Ointment 0.1% (Betamethasone) be sure to follow the doctors instructions and read the patient information leaflet before using.
Wash your hands before and unless it is being used on the hands, after each use.
Apply a thin layer to the affected area(s) and gently rub into the skin until it has all disappeared.
You can measure how much Betnovate to use with your fingertip.
For children you will need to use less cream but still use an adult finger to measure out the fingertip unit.
