Capasal Shampoo is an effective treatment for dry, scaly scalp conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. This shampoo is easy to apply and you only need to leave it on for a few minutes.
Capasal Shampoo is a treatment for scaly, dry scalp conditions such as:
Seborrhoeic eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis (patches of red, scaly, itchy skin), pityriasis capitis (severe dandruff), cradle cap (thick, yellowish, scaly scalp rash in babies and infants), psoriasis (areas of raised, red, sometimes itchy, patches of skin, covered with silvery scales, without any blistering or tenderness).
You can use Capasal shampoo to remove medicines applied to the scalp.
The 3 main ingredients in Capasal are Salicylic acid, coconut oil and distilled coal tar. These ingredients help to moisturise, stop itching and restore normal skin development as well as removing scaly, flaky skin.

How to use Capasal Shampoo Coal Tar Salicylic Acid and Coconut Oil 250ml
You should always use this medicine as explained by your doctor or pharmacist.
Before using the shampoo make sure you read the patient information leaflet enclosed.
You should only use Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo only to treat the scalp conditions that it is intended for.
Use as a shampoo until the scalp looks and feels better or as recommended by your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.
You can use Capasal daily if required, then reduce the frequency of use to once or twice a week as your condition improves. Thereafter, occasional use may be necessary.
Directions for use:
- Wet the hair thoroughly.
- Apply a small amount of shampoo to the scalp.
- Massage thoroughly with the tips of the fingers.
- Remove as much lather as possible with the hands (this is important as it will take the scales with it).
- Rinse out.
- If required, repeat the steps above.
- Rinse out well under running water, then dry the hair as normal.
Side effects of Capasal Shampoo Coal Tar Salicylic Acid and Coconut Oil 250ml
Do not use Capasal if you are allergic to salicylic acid, coconut oil, distilled coal tar or any of the other ingredients of Capasal Therapeutic Shampoo.
Keep the undiluted shampoo, and the lather, away from the eyes.
