Diprosone Lotion 0.05% 100ml is a colourless lotion which contains the active ingredient Betamethasone Dipropionate. It is a topical steroid which is used to reduce the redness and itchiness caused by certain skin conditions. It can be used to treat Psoriasis on the scalp.
Diprosone lotion is used to treat scalp skin disorders in both adults and children, such as eczema and all types of dermatitis and psoriasis.
Eczema is a common skin condition that causes the skin to turn red and irritated. Dermatitis is a skin inflammation. Psoriasis is a skin disease characterised by itchy, scaly, pink blotches on the elbows, knees, scalp, and other regions of the body.

How to use Diprosone lotion 0.05% 100ml
When using Diprosone Lotion 0.05% 100ml always use as directed by the doctor and read the patient information leaflet before use.
Wash your hands.
Apply a few drops twice a day to the affected area(s) of the scalp, gently and completely rub in.
Avoid contact with eyes, if this occurs wash with clean cold water immediately.
Only apply to the scalp.
Once improvement achieved contact your doctor to begin reduction regime, do not stop using suddenly.
Side effects of Diprosone lotion 0.05% 100ml
Please read the patient information leaflet included before using the product.
Do not use Diprosone Lotion 0.05% 100ml if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or for any skin condition other then the one(s) it has been prescribed for.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Stop using immediately and contact your doctor if you notice signs of an allergic reaction.
As with all medicines you may expericence side effects, although most people find that when the lotion is used correctly, it does not cause any problems. However, if you use the lotion more than you should it can cause redness, stinging, blistering, peeling, swelling, itching, burning, skin rash, dryness of the skin, inflammation of the hair follicles, excessive hair growth, reduced skin pigmentation, allergic skin reactions, dermatitis (skin inflammation), other skin infections, thinning of the skin and red marks. This can happen more easily in infants and children.
