Silkis Ointment 3mcg 100g (Calcitriol) is a white transluscent oitnment which contains the active ingredient Calcitriol 3mcg. It is used for the topical treatment of mild to moderately severe plaque psoriasis with up to one third of body surface area involvement. It contains an active ingredient, calcitriol (a vitamin D derivate), which inhibits and normalizes the unrestrained cell growth in psoriasis affected skin.
Silkis Ointment 3mcg 100g (Calcitriol) should be kept out of reach and sight of children. It should not be stored above 25 degrees celcius.
Silkis ointment can be applied to the face with caution, as there is an increased risk of irritation in this area. Contact with the eyes should be avoided. The hands should be washed after applying the ointment in order to avoid unintentional application to non lesional areas. Not more than 35% of the body surface should be exposed to daily treatment. Not more than 30g of ointment should be used per day.

When using Silkis Ointment 3mcg 100g (Calcitriol be sure to follow the doctors instructions and read the patient infromation leaflet before using. Wash your hands before and after each use. Wash and dry the affected areas of your skin then apply a thin layer of Silkis over the affected twice a day (morning and evening). Do not use more than 30 g of ointment per day and do not cover more than one third of your skin area (approximately one full arm and one full leg).
The active ingredient in Silkis Ointment 3mcg 100g (Calcitriol) is Calcitriol 3mcg. The other ingredients are liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin and alpha-tocopherol.

Do not use Silkis Ointment 3mcg 100g (Calcitriol) if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or for any skin condition other then the one(s) it has been prescribed for.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Stop using immediately and contact your doctor if you notice signs of an allergic reaction.
As with all medicines Silkis Ointment 3mcg 100g (Calcitriol) can cause side effects, althougth not everybody gets them. All known side effects will be listed in thepatient information leaflet provided with the product.
