Evorel (Estradiol) Patch is a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). It contains the female hormone Oestrogen-Estradiol. It is used to relieve the symptoms of menopause.
Evorel patches are recognised as a type of hormone replacement therapy since women use them to lessen symptoms associated with menopause. These signs and symptoms include vaginal dryness, mood swings, and hot flushes.
Estradiol, a type of oestrogen, is also taken as a supplement to replace the decreasing levels of oestrogen in the body since the ovaries produce less oestrogen during menopause. Patients who dislike taking tablets daily are advised to use Evorel patches.
Evorel patches are available for purchase online, but a visit to the doctor for additional tests and advice is advised.
The HRT patches are available as progesterone and oestrogen patches or as oestrogen-only patches.
What is Menopause?
All throughout their adult lives, women's ovaries produce oestrogen hormones. These hormones play a crucial role in menstrual cycle regulation and sexual development.
When the amount of hormones generated by the ovaries decreases, menopause occurs. This happens gradually. During this time, oestrogen levels may vary. This may result in:
- Night sweats, mood swings, or hot flushes
- Vaginal issues include itching or dryness
- Uncomfortable or painful sex
If you have had your ovaries removed through surgery, you can experience the same symptoms.
How Evorel patches work
Evorel patches replace the oestrogen that is typically released by the ovaries. However, in women who still have a womb, taking an oestrogen hormone regularly may cause the lining of your womb to build up and get thicker.
If this happens, it is necessary to add a progestogen hormone to the oestrogen to help shed the lining of the womb and stop any problems from happening.
Evorel is not a contraceptive.

Using HRT to treat the effects of hormonal transition can actually make you feel younger. You may feel more energised, happier, and have increased sex desire as a result. It can improve sleep for both sexes and make sex more comfortable.

All hormone replacement therapy should be initiated after a discussion with a health care professional face to face as they will also need to take your blood pressure and weight. Blood tests may also be requested. This is followed after three months with a follow-up appointment. Online prescribing can only be done once this has happened.
