The active ingredient in is calcipotriol. Calcipotriol Ointment belongs to a class of medications known as anti-psoriatics. It's a kind of vitamin D. Vitamin D regulates the growth of skin cells.
This medicine is for the treatment of Psoriasis treatment in adults. Psoriasis can develop when the cells in your skin overgrow. Psoriasis is a skin disorder that causes raised red spots and silvery scaly regions. The scaly patches are dead skin cells that would ordinarily peel off your skin unnoticed. Calcipotriol works by lowering the number of skin cells produced. This means your skin symptoms will improve as well.
Calcipotriol Ointment is the cheaper, generic version of Dovonex Ointment.
