One of the most prevalent conditions affecting women's health is bacterial vaginitis, also known as BV or Gardnerella vaginalis. Today, BV treatment can be completed quickly and discretely at home. BV, also called bacterial vaginosis, is a widespread condition that affects one in three women at some time in their lives. All women have good and bad bacteria in their vaginas, which can prevent and cause infections. However, if these bacteria become out of equilibrium and the pH level of the vagina rises too high, this can lead to inflammation, vaginal discharge, and a fishy odour, which is known as BV.
Lactate gels restore and maintain the natural acidity of the vagina, providing an environment favourable to the growth of naturally occurring flora known as lactobacilli. Relactagel is a home remedy for BV that reduces abnormal discharge and odour while restoring the vagina's natural acidity. Applying Relactagel straight into the vagina is easy and comfortable.
Lactic acid is a component of Relactagel, which helps to balance the vaginal flora and return the vagina to its natural, acidic pH equilibrium. Since semen is very alkaline and will offset Relactagel's impact on lowering pH, it should be avoided if you are trying to get pregnant.
Relactagel also contains glycogen which provides nutrients for lactic acid-producing bacteria.
