How to use Aciclovir 200mg 50 tablets (outbreak)
Take one 200mg tablet 5 times a day at 4 hourly intervals for 5 days, and swallowed whole, with or without food.

There are other medicines which can affect the potency of aciclovir. The ones that need to be closely monitored are those who take:-
- Cimetidine - These can increase the concentration of aciclovir.
- Ciclosporin - Doctors may monitor kidney function.
- Theophylline - Used to treat those with asthma and other breathing problems.
- Mycophenolate Mofetil - For those who take high doses of aciclovir at the same time, blood levels of both drugs may increase.
- Zidovudine - Used in HIV infection.
