Omacor contains highly purified omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Omacor (Omega-3-Acid) 1000mg 100 Capsules contains the active ingredient Omega-3-Acid, which belongs to a group of reducers of cholesterol and triglycerides.
This medication is used to address various types of elevated triglycerides (fats) in the blood when dietary changes have failed. Omacor has been demonstrated to reduce blood triglyceride levels and to have a protective effect on the heart after a heart attack.
You must speak to your doctor before taking Omacor if you are taking other medicines, particularly medicines to stop blood clotting as you may need extra blood tests.
May contain soya-bean oil (see patient leaflet for more information).
