This pack is especially useful for maintaining consistency in your treatment, which is very important for weight loss medications like the Wegovy Pill. Ordering all three dose-escalation strengths together means you can step up to the next dose without any gaps, rather than risking a missed reorder or, though rare, a delay in dispatch or clinical review. This matters more for the Wegovy Pill than for weekly GLP-1 injections, since a daily tablet leaves far less room to run out before your next dose is due.

Why are there three Wegovy Pill doses in one pack?

This three dose pack is created to take you through a specific dose escalation schedule from 1.5mg to 4mg to 9mg. Dose escalation with the Wegovy pill is designed to give your body time to adjust at each level before increasing further. This is a minimum of one month per dose (1). However, some people stay longer on a specific dose if they are experiencing side effects or have discussed with a clinician about doing so.

This pack is designed to cover the full treatment from your first month on the 1.5mg dose, through to the 9mg dose (the last step before 25mg maintenance), so you’re not reordering month to month. You can stay on 9mg for longer than a month if you need to, or you can immediately step up to 25mg.

What happens after I finish this starter pack?

After you’ve stepped up through all of the doses to 9mg, you can then step up again to the maintenance dose of Wegovy Pill which is 25mg. You can order this dose on our Wegovy Pills page. 25mg is the licensed maintenance dose for the Wegovy Pill, meaning you can stay on this dose for as long as you are still suitable for treatment– this will be consistently reviewed by our clinical team to ensure you get the best possible weight loss experience (1).

As the maintenance dose is the highest dose of the Wegovy pill, you will not be able to increase your dose any higher after this. This is also where you will likely see more consistent weight loss results, as you will be taking one consistent high dose from month 4 onwards.

It’s important to remember that clinical trials for the Wegovy Pill showed 16.6% body weight reduction for patients who reached the 25mg dose over 64 weeks, so to achieve consistent weight loss you will need to continue with treatment beyond the 4 month dose escalation schedule (2).

If you are experiencing any increased side effects after moving up to the 25mg dose, you can drop back down to 9mg, let your side effects settle and then consider moving back up to 25mg.
